April 20, 1653: Cromwell Rings True

by William Thomas MacLachlan on September 7, 2010

This was originally a post, but it is worthy of a dedicated page. Disgusted as I am not only with the Democrat Marxists–it’s so easy to hate them–and with the putrid weaklings known as Republicans, I turned to a personal hero, Oliver Cromwell, for guiding words. Cromwell led the Puritan and Parliamentarian revolt against the King of England in the 1640s. Cromwell had the head cut off the English king. He served as Lord High Protector of England. Just over 100 years later, the American Revolution, viewed by most historians as The English Civil War, Part II, gave us a nation. Our battle in 1776 was the same battle: hard-working members of the middle classes against the English nobility.

I think of this because I rather enjoyed Laura Ingraham’s grilling today of Eric Cantor, who worked his phony Southern drawl to best effect, but was clearly cornered by the nasty little blonde from Ohio. We are surrounded by political rats, and it’s high time for some of them to burn.

Here is the speech Cromwell gave to his “rump Parliament,” when it was dissolved. They were just as putrid and corrupt as the criminals now occupying space in Washington, DC. Take pleasure in this frank man’s words, for they are the words all true patriots should carry in their hearts when the time comes to deal with the vermin of the District of Columbia.

BEGINS:

“It is high time for me to put an end to your sitting in this place, which you have dishonoured by your contempt of all virtue, and defiled by your practice of every vice; ye are a factious crew, and enemies to all good government; ye are a pack of mercenary wretches, and would, like Esau, sell your country for a mess of pottage, and, like Judas, betray your God for a few pieces of money.

Is there a single virtue now remaining amongst you? Is there one vice you do not possess? Ye have no more religion than my horse; gold is your God; which of you have not barter’d your conscience for bribes? Is there a man amongst you that has the least care for the good of the Commonwealth?

Ye sordid prostitutes have you not defil’d this sacred place, and turn’d the Lord’s temple into a den of thieves, by your immoral principles and wicked practices? Ye are grown intolerably odious to the whole nation; you were deputed here by the people to get grievances redress’d, are yourselves gone! So! Take away that shining bauble there, and lock up the doors. In the name of God, go!”

Richard Harris starred in the film about Oliver Cromwell, which you can buy from Amazon. Here is the opening. Enjoy it. I have posted other pieces that will help you understand the nature of our battle. This is the battle of decent Americans against the corrupt scum that has perverted the meaning of our nation.

Here is the speech we must deliver to the criminals who currently sit in Washington. They can all burn in hell fire. They all deserve hot tar and LL Bean’s finest down pillows. They can all rot in the hell we will send them to.
